Choosing the right car seat can feel like a minefield. At The Car Seat Safety Club, we specialise in extended rear-facing car seats and offer friendly, practical advice to help you understand the options available for your child.
We’ve partnered with Axkid and have a range of demonstration seats available, so you can see the different models, talk through height and weight limits and find out which options may suit your child and your car.

Our Story
In February 2023, I started researching the "next" seat for my nearly 3 year old. At the time, he was forward facing in a well known spin seat. Naively, I planned on putting him in a high backed booster so my 10 month old could go in his spin seat. A friend shared a heartbreaking story of a mum losing her two youngest children in a crash, all because they were forward facing. After cleaning up my tears, I began researching and turned my son around, surprisingly, my strong minded toddler accepted as I told him that his job was to watch out for tractors and make sure everyone was driving safely.
My research took me to crash test videos, more heart breaking stories and of course the Swedish Plus Test where I discovered Axkid. I decided it was time we could do more, help educate the parents attending our sessions and become advocates for car seat safety. As mums, we spend 9 months growing our precious babies and doing our best to nurture them earthside, this shouldn't be forgotten when we get in a car!

Finding the Right Seat
You don’t need to know which car seat you want before you come to us. We’ll talk through your child’s age, height and weight, the car you’ll be using and what matters most to you.
We can then show you the Axkid seats that may be suitable, explain the differences between them and help you narrow down the options. During an in-person appointment, we can also try suitable seats in your own car so you can see how they fit before making a decision.
