Play Sessions | Mum & Baby Club

The following terms and conditions apply to all Play Session bookings at The Little Play Lounge. By making a booking, you agree to the terms below.

Bookings & Payments

Our indoor play space has been specially designed for babies and toddlers aged 0–3.5 years. All Play Sessions must be booked in advance through our website, as we have limited capacity and are unable to accommodate walk-ins.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Once a session has been booked, we are unable to offer refunds or move your booking to another date if you can no longer attend.

Tickets are priced per person and everyone attending requires a valid ticket. Bookings can be made online for groups of up to six people. If you would like to visit with a larger group, please contact us before booking.

Each booking must include at least one adult aged 18 or over.

Children & Supervision

Parents and carers remain responsible for the welfare and supervision of their children at all times. The Little Play Lounge is not a childcare facility.

Older children are very welcome to join you in the indoor play area; however, as our equipment has been designed for babies and toddlers, we ask that they are respectful of the little ones around them and do not use the swing or climbing equipment.

Your Play Session

Session times and lengths may vary depending on the season, weather and any events taking place, so please check the details carefully before booking. You are welcome to arrive after your session has started; however, your session will still finish at the advertised time. We need to clear the play area promptly so our team can clean and reset the space ready for the next session or close for the day.

Food & Drinks

The Little Café serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, food, cakes and snacks, with options available for babies and young children.

To support our little café, we kindly ask that no outside food, snacks or drinks are brought into The Little Play Lounge. Baby milk and formula are, of course, welcome. If you have any allergy or dietary requirements, please speak to a member of our team.

You are very welcome to arrive before your session or stay afterwards to enjoy the café, Sofa Club and outdoor spaces. Please check our current café opening hours before visiting, as these may vary. Tables cannot be reserved, and we kindly ask that café tables are not used for nappy changing or for storing personal belongings.

Café & Venue Safety

Furniture within the café and play areas must not be moved unless a member of our team has agreed to it. Fire exits and access routes must be kept clear at all times.

The indoor play area is a shoe-free space to help us keep it clean. Socks must be worn, or you are welcome to bring clean indoor shoes or slippers.

Pushchairs and prams cannot be stored inside the building. You are very welcome to leave them in our covered pram park at the front of the venue or on the patio within our secure garden. Any belongings left in these areas remain at the owner’s risk.

We have a designated area inside for bags and shoes. Please avoid leaving personal belongings around the play or café areas.

Photography

You are welcome to take photographs of your own children during your visit. Please be mindful of other families and ensure that other children are not included in your photographs or videos without their parent or carer’s permission.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Our toys and equipment are regularly cleaned, including between Play Sessions. If your child puts a toy in their mouth, please place it in one of our dribble boxes so that our team can thoroughly clean it before returning it to the play area.

Toys and equipment may be changed or rotated from time to time to offer a variety of play experiences.

Our cleaning products are selected to meet the relevant British and European standards, including EN 14476, EN 1276 and EN 127.

Personal Belongings & Vehicles

The Little Play Lounge accepts no responsibility for the loss of, theft of or damage to personal belongings, pushchairs, prams or vehicles while visiting the venue or using our car park.

Smoking & Vaping

The Little Play Lounge is a non-smoking venue. Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes or vapes are not permitted anywhere inside the building or within our garden and outdoor areas.

Classes

The following terms and conditions apply to all class bookings at The Little Play Lounge. By making a booking, you agree to the terms below.

Bookings & Payments

Our classes have been created for babies and toddlers at different stages, so please check the age guidance for your chosen class before booking.

Tiny Touches is suitable from newborn to 9 months, and Messy Makers is suitable from 6 months to 3 years. Classes run during West Berkshire term time, with current dates and availability shown on our website.

All classes must be booked in advance through our website. Due to limited spaces and our registration procedures, we’re unable to accommodate walk-ins.

Due to limited space, only one adult may attend per child. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Cancellations & Changes

Once your class has been booked, we’re unable to offer refunds, transfers or swaps if you can no longer attend for any reason.

If we need to cancel a class due to teacher illness or another unforeseen circumstance, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer either a transfer to another available class or credit towards a future class.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Children & Supervision

All children attending a class must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

Parents and carers remain responsible for their child’s welfare and safety throughout the session. The Little Play Lounge is not a childcare facility and our team cannot take responsibility for supervising individual children.

Babies and toddlers don’t always follow the plan, so feeding, cuddles, naps and little breaks are all very welcome. Please feel free to follow your child’s lead throughout the session.

During Your Class

Classes are designed to be relaxed and welcoming, with little ones encouraged to take part at their own pace.

For Messy Makers, things can get wonderfully messy, so we recommend wearing clothes that you and your child don’t mind getting a little grubby.

Please follow any reasonable instructions given by our team during your session and help us keep walkways and fire exits clear.

Food & Drinks

The Little Café is open during your visit, serving hot and cold drinks, food, cakes and snacks, with options available for babies and young children.

To support our little café, we kindly ask that no outside food, snacks or drinks are brought into The Little Play Lounge. Baby milk and formula are, of course, welcome.

If you or your child have an allergy or dietary requirement, please speak to a member of our team.

You’re very welcome to arrive a little earlier or stay after your class to enjoy the café, Sofa Club and outdoor spaces. Please check our current café opening hours before visiting.

Pushchairs & Prams

Pushchairs and prams cannot be left inside the building.

You’re very welcome to leave them in our covered pram park at the front of the venue or on the patio within our secure garden. Any pushchairs, prams or belongings left in these areas remain at the owner’s risk.

Photography

You’re welcome to take photographs of your own child during class.

Please be mindful of other families and make sure other children aren’t included in photographs or videos unless you have permission from their parent or carer.

Parties

These Terms & Conditions apply to all party bookings at The Little Play Lounge. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

Once your booking form has been submitted and the required payment received, a binding agreement is made between the person named on the booking form and The Little Play Lounge.

The Little Play Lounge is a trading name of Digitgain Ltd (Company No. 02251657). In these Terms & Conditions, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to The Little Play Lounge, and “you” and “your” refer to the person making the party booking.

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

1. Party Packages

The Little Tea Party

Party time: 11:30am–1:30pm
Host set-up access: From 11:00am

Includes:

1 hour in our indoor play space
1 hour for party tea in our Courtyard Lodge
Children’s tables and chairs and/or highchairs
Access to The Little Café
A structured party timeline
Optional party food packages
Capacity for up to 40 guests, including babies and children

The Little Lounge Party

Party time: 1:30pm–3:30pm
Host set-up access: From 1pm

Includes:

1 hour private indoor play session
Exclusive use of our café area
Tables and highchairs
Access to The Little Café
A structured party timeline
Optional party food packages
Capacity for up to 50 guests, including babies and children

The Little Garden Party

Party time: 1:30pm–3:30pm
Host set-up access: From 1:00pm
Supplier set-up access: From 12pm

Includes:

Use of our gardens
Outdoor tent and picnic-table seating
Access to The Little Café
A structured party timeline
Optional party food packages
The option to arrange suitable external play equipment or entertainment, such as a bouncy castle
Capacity for up to 80 guests, including babies and children

Please note

All package prices include VAT at the current rate.
Our indoor play equipment has been specially designed for children aged 0–3.5 years. Older children are very welcome to attend and may enter the play area, but we ask that they do not use the swing or climbing equipment and are respectful of the younger children around them.
The Little Garden Party does not include use of the indoor play area unless specifically agreed in writing.
All guests must leave the venue promptly at the advertised party finish time so our team can clean and reset the space.
Outside food, snacks and drinks are not permitted. Birthday cake or cupcakes are welcome.
Party food may be pre-ordered, and additional food and drinks from The Little Café menu can be purchased on the day.
All decorations and personal belongings must be removed at the end of your party.

2. Pricing

Our prices include VAT at the current rate.

If there is a change to VAT or another applicable tax outside our control, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly.

3. Booking & Payment

3.1 Booking Form

Once a party date has been provisionally agreed, your completed booking form must be returned within 5 working days. If we do not receive the form within this time, the date may be released for another booking.

3.2 Deposit & Final Payment

Once we receive your completed booking form, we will issue an invoice for 50% of the party package price.

This deposit must be paid within 5 working days to secure your booking.

Your party is not confirmed until:

we have received your completed booking form; and
the 50% deposit has been paid.

Submitting the booking form confirms that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The remaining 50% balance is due 4 weeks before your party date.

Party food must be confirmed at least 3 weeks before the party, and payment for party food is required in full when the order is placed.

4. Cancellations & Changes

4.1 Cancellations by You

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Payments are non-refundable except in the circumstances set out below.

If the birthday child or an immediate family member is unwell on the day of the party, we will offer either:

a 25% partial refund; or
the option to move your party to one of our available alternative dates.

Any alternative date offered will be subject to availability.

4.2 Cancellations by The Little Play Lounge

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel your party due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including unforeseen venue closures or other events which prevent us from safely hosting your booking.

In these circumstances, we will offer either:

a full refund of payments made; or
the opportunity to move your booking to another available date.

We also reserve the right to cancel a booking where we reasonably believe the event, planned activity or conduct associated with the booking could cause damage to the venue, create a safety concern or seriously affect the operation or reputation of The Little Play Lounge.

5. Children & Supervision

The Little Play Lounge is not a childcare provider.
Parents and carers remain responsible for the supervision, welfare and behaviour of their children at all times.
Children must not be left unattended.
Our indoor play equipment is specially designed for children aged 0–3.5 years. Older children attending a party must not use the swing or climbing equipment and must be respectful of younger children using the space.

6. Food & Drinks

Party food and jugs of juice may be ordered in advance from us.

Guests are also welcome to purchase additional food from The Little Café menu, along with hot drinks, cold drinks, cakes and snacks during the party.

To support our little café, outside food, snacks and drinks must not be brought into The Little Play Lounge. The only exception is a birthday cake or cupcakes.

Food and drinks must not be taken into the indoor play area.

If you or your guests have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know in advance and speak to a member of staff on arrival.

7. Venue Rules & Safety

Shoes must be removed before entering the indoor play area and socks must be worn.
Furniture must not be moved unless agreed by a member of our team.
Fire exits and access routes must be kept clear at all times.
Pushchairs and prams cannot be stored inside the building. Guests are welcome to use our covered pram park at the front of the venue or leave them on the patio within our secure garden. Items left in these areas remain at the owner’s risk.
All guests must follow reasonable instructions given by members of The Little Play Lounge team.

8. Decorations & External Suppliers

Balloons, bunting and other suitable decorations are welcome.
All decorations must be removed promptly at the end of your party, and the venue should be left in a reasonable condition.
External suppliers and entertainment are only permitted as part of The Little Garden Party and must be agreed with us in advance.
You are responsible for ensuring any supplier you arrange is appropriately insured and complies with any safety requirements we provide.

9. Damage, Loss & Personal Belongings

You are responsible for any damage, loss or excessive mess caused by you, your guests or any external suppliers you have arranged.

We reserve the right to charge for reasonable costs associated with repairing damage or additional cleaning where necessary.

The Little Play Lounge accepts no responsibility for the loss of, theft of or damage to personal belongings, pushchairs, prams or vehicles while visiting the venue or using our car park.

10. Liability & Insurance

The Little Play Lounge holds public liability insurance of up to £5 million.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising children throughout the event.

11. Guest Conduct

We ask all guests to treat our team, other visitors, the venue and its surroundings with respect.

Children under 18 must be appropriately supervised by responsible adults at all times.

The Little Play Lounge is situated within a private estate. Guests must remain within the areas of the site designated for The Little Play Lounge and must not enter other parts of the estate.

We reserve the right to ask any guest whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate to leave the venue.

12. Smoking & Vaping

The Little Play Lounge is a non-smoking venue.

Smoking, vaping and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted inside the building or within our gardens and outdoor areas.

13. Complaints

If you have any concerns during your party, please speak to a senior member of our team as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to resolve the issue at the time.

If your concern remains unresolved, please contact us in writing within 28 days of your event.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version in place when your completed booking form is received will apply to your party booking unless a change is subsequently agreed between us in writing.

Events

The following terms and conditions apply to all event bookings at The Little Play Lounge. By booking an event, you agree to the terms below.

All event tickets must be booked in advance through our website unless otherwise stated.
Please check the individual event details carefully before booking, including the date, time, age guidance and what is included.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot usually be transferred to another date or event if you can no longer attend.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. The Little Play Lounge is not a childcare facility.
Our café is open for food, drinks and snacks where stated. To support our little café, outside food, snacks and drinks are not permitted, with the exception of baby milk or formula.
Pushchair and pram arrangements vary depending on the event. Larger outdoor events may allow buggies and prams throughout the event area, while some indoor sessions may require them to be left in our designated pram parking areas. Please check the individual event information before visiting.
Event activities, timings and locations may vary depending on the event, weather or circumstances outside our control.
If we need to cancel an event, we’ll contact ticket holders and offer an appropriate alternative, credit or refund.
Parents and carers remain responsible for their children’s safety and behaviour throughout their visit.
Free on-site parking is available.

Any additional terms or practical information specific to an event will be clearly stated on the event booking page and form part of your booking.

Studio & Room Hire

By booking The Little Picture Studio or The Nurture Lounge, you agree to the following:

Bookings must be made in advance and paid for at the time of booking.
Your booking time includes any set-up and clearing away, so please make sure you allow enough time.
Please leave the space clean, tidy and ready for the next booking.
Any equipment, props or belongings you bring with you are your responsibility and must be removed at the end of your booking.
If you’re providing a service or class, you are responsible for having any appropriate insurance, qualifications or licences required for your work.
Children must remain appropriately supervised throughout your booking.
Room hire does not include access to the indoor play area unless this has been specifically agreed.
The Little Café is available during its normal opening hours. Outside food, snacks and drinks aren’t permitted unless agreed with us in advance.
Please treat the room, furniture and equipment with care. You may be charged for any damage or excessive cleaning caused during your booking.
If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Bookings are non-refundable and date changes are subject to availability.
If we need to cancel your booking, we’ll offer an alternative date or refund the room-hire amount paid.
Free on-site parking is available, but vehicles and personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the venue or within our gardens.
The Little Play Lounge reserves the right to end a booking if the space is being used in an unsafe, inappropriate or significantly disruptive way.
